Wines Homepage When do I taste it?

It is always the big question ... ”When is the best time to enjoy this wine?”

As we all know this is not an objective exercise. We all have different opinions as to when is best, but to assist we are delighted to help by regularly informing you and all our members when we should be enjoying our various wines and their various vintages.

Rather than assess our wines in the endeavour to pick the prime time to enjoy them, we will be letting you know when they are going through change for the better, or when they are developing into something unique. You may find as with the 2004 Classic Hunter Semillon below, we suggest you have a look at it now even though it will continue to develop over the next 5-10 years.

Dust off the cobwebs and enjoy if you are lucky enough to have any of the wines below in your cellar. We would also love to hear from you on your thoughts after tasting.
The following wines are “looking good”:

Bluegrass Cabernet Sauvignon 1995, 1997, 2000, 2002, 2003
Bluegrass Shiraz 2002, 2003
Equus Hunter Shiraz 1995, 1996, 1999
Equus McLaren Shiraz 1996, 1997, 1998
Reserve Merlot 1999, 2001

Classic Hunter Semillon 1999, 2002, 2003, 2004

Also we strongly suggest that while the 2004 Classic Hunter Semillon will live on, we think it very interesting at the moment and well worth a taste.

We hope you have the opportunity to enjoy these wines soon.
