Winemaker's Details: Made from fruit hand picked at optimum ripeness from a single vineyard in the Lower Hunter Valley. A rich full flavoured wine with a subtle bouquet of blackberries and cedary oak. On the palate, this wine is round and wonderfully plumy. This is a Merlot complex in character in a fashion that befits the best of this variety, harvested in one of the best vintage years. Grape Variety & Region: 100% Merlot (Hunter Valley) Drinking Recommendations: A rich flavoursome wine that should be enjoyed with a lovely peppered steak or perhaps lamb with rosemary, or a rich Italian Scaloppini. However for a real surprise try it with mildly spiced oriental cuisine.
